Inside the Epic Journey of the Summit League Champions

women's championship team lifts trophy in the air

Every March, our nation goes a little bonkers for basketball. This year was no exception, with both the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments thrilling spectators in arenas and captivating millions of viewers nationwide.

While we adore keeping up with the action, the highlight of March for us happens just before the nation witnesses the frenzy. Our favorite moment is capturing the teams’ NCAA tournament-qualifying triumphs.

We’ve done that since 2019 by telling (and selling) the story of the Summit League Basketball Championships. This year, nine women’s and nine men’s teams competed across five days to earn the right to represent the league in the national tourney, and ultimately compete for a national championship.

Our team sets up at the Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. and produces game recaps that get posted to the league’s social media channels just minutes after the final buzzer.

All told, our crews produced 16 video recaps to reach fans across the nation, telling the story of the Summit League champions just in time for the rest of the country to take notice and the madness to begin.
